  3. Dear Amy. Bonne courage to you and all those working in eastern DRC. I am a physician with Medecins Sans Frontieres, have done 2 missions, and my dream is to come to DRC next year and do my part to help. If we do nothing before we die, it is to try and help eastern DRC. When you are alone, tired and think the world is meaninglness, you should hold your head a little higher knowing you give voice to these survivors. Their strength is our inspiration. 5. Hallo Amy,
I found your blog via Kristofs blog.
    Well written.

I will continue to follow your blog since I am trying to write a novel about a Swedish girl who comes to an African country to do similar work as you.

  6. Wonderful article--so glad that Kristof found YOU and shared your story. What an incredible journey you have begun....thank you for sharing it with us. You are helping make this situation personal for those of us that can only begin to understand the complexities of what is going on in the Kivu region.
I look forward to following you more!
    Be safe.

  8. Hi Amy,
Thanks for the honesty, the authenticity, the "diary-feeling" instead of the "journalistic-feeling" of this blog. You write beautifully. It helps to read of the beauty and not only the horror. It helps to read of the courage and unbelievable strength of all the people you talk about, and yours, of course.I still haven't finished reading all the posts, so I'll be back. Keep yourself safe, keep writing.

  9. Hi Amy,

I came from Kristof's blog also, and am grateful to him for making known the work that you're doing and directing us here. your writing is touching and will go a long way towards raising awareness of what is really happening. I do have a question - do you make up names for the people in your diary or change details of conversations? Confidentiality is obviously a major concern in situations like this, and you may have mentioned how you handle it in an earlier post but I haven't had time to read all the way through. I had a blog as a Peace Corps volunteer, and we were encouraged to be very careful of what we wrote and what pictures we posted, because you don't want to put yourself or anyone else in danger, or violate anyone's privacy. Be safe and good luck as you continue the courageous work that you are doing!

  10. Many people don’t know where to begin when it comes to buying a car. You are not alone. However, with a little preparation, it doesn’t have to be such a bad experience. Buying a car will be easy if you follow this advice.
